Marriage is one of the most sacred and refining relationships God has given us. At its core, it is built on trust, grace, and belief; the kind of belief that sees past the moment and looks into the heart.

When we assume the worst, we begin to see our spouse through a lens of suspicion, frustration, or past hurt. 

That lens slowly distorts our perspective, and instead of responding with grace, we respond with guardedness. We stop seeing who they truly are and begin reacting to who we think they’ve become.
