Devotion - Expectations 

“The man with the most expectations has the least amount of peace”

The more we anchor our peace to what we expect, the more fragile our peace becomes! 

Every unmet expectation becomes a seed of disappointment. And soon, our peace is no longer grounded in truth, but in performance, people, and outcomes.

When we release our grip on expectations and tighten our hold on His promises, we find rest. Real peace isn’t the absence of struggle, but the presence of Jesus in the midst of it.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
