You’re a Laborer
“Laborers are not merely called to gather. They are sent.”
What is a laborer?
A laborer in Luke 10:2 is more than someone who believes in the harvest. It is someone willing to enter the field and do the work.
Jesus does not say there is a harvest problem.
He says there is a laborer problem.
The harvest is already plentiful. There are people ready to be reached, encouraged, discipled, healed, served, and introduced to Jesus.
The shortage is not opportunity.
The shortage is people willing to step into the opportunity.
Jesus says to pray that the Lord would “send out laborers.”
Laborers are not merely called to gather.
They are sent.
God may send you across the world, but He may also send you across the room.
Your harvest field may be your business.
Your marriage.
Your children.
Your employees.
Your neighborhood.
Your church.
The person sitting beside you.
The question is not whether there is work to be done.
The question is:
Will I enter the field?
“And he said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’”
